A project supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV Programme,

managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

The Council, in Partnership with Co-operation Ireland and Sohest Learning, will deliver a comprehensive ethnic minority integration programme across the Newry, Mourne asnd Down district area.  The programme will consist of two interlinked elements;

1.    Integration Projects

2.    Cross-border intercultural events

The programme aims to promote minority ethnic cultures to address existing myths, stereotypes and attitudes

To facilitate meaningful engagement between BME and indigenous communities

To build the capacity of the BME communities

To enhance cultural understanding between communities
