Community Capacity Building Project

NICVA are supporting the development of community and voluntary sector capacity in the Mount and Ballymacarrett. The programme is providing opportunity for groups to focus on their own needs and development goals and includes an organisational healthcheck, training and support and the opportunity for groups to develop their own project.

Health and Well-being Project

East Belfast Community Development Agency (EBCDA) are building on their existing health and well-being work to delivery a project which will raise awareness of available services in the area and train local people as community health champions and befrienders.

Arts and Culture

Ballymac Friendship Trust Limited are delivering a project to positively celebrate loyalist culture and identity and build the capacity of individuals and groups to become the agents of social change in their area through the arts. 

Restorative Practices Project

The STARS (Striving towards a Restorative Society) project is being delivered by Community Restorative Justice Ireland and NI Alternatives across the eight CIT areas. It is working to increase the use of restorative approaches in community work through a programme of training and mentoring support.
