Co-operation Ireland’s Circle of Learning project held its annual residential in Belfast from 28th to 29th November 2019.

Circle of Learning was designed to promote active citizenship and ensure continuity of learning within communities by connecting those with experience and knowledge of community development with those that are just starting out on the road community organising.

Delegates from around Northern Ireland gathered in the Holiday Inn on University Street to hear from keynote speakers Dr. Phil Brennan, Michael Doherty, Allison Morris and David McCann and took part in a series of workshops regarding the future of locally based empowerment.

The two-day event also explored future plans for Circle of Learning.

Groups from Ards/ North Down, Antrim and Newtownabbey and Mid Ulster took part.

Circle of Learning is funded by The Executive Office and will run until March 2020.
