DC Diary: Back home for now Unfortunately, I find myself writing my latest blog from Belfast – my Co-operation Ireland adventure in the United States cancelled for the time being due to the Covid-19 crisis. With my work mostly on Washington DC and New York, the ongoing crisis meant everywhere was shutting down as social distancing regulations came into force. So I along with the Board of the charity decided I would be better coming home to Belfast to help out with our programmes that are continuing in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland until society gets back to normal stateside. I am obviously very disappointed to have been forced to stop my work in the United States so early into my time with Co-operation Ireland, but I am already looking forward to getting back up to speed when we have this awful virus defeated. So it’s goodbye for now, and I hope everyone who has been reading my updates is staying safe. Norman.
