2009 Belfry Golf Classic

Co-operation Ireland Golf Classic
The Belfry
Monday 27 April 2009

Co-operation Ireland held it’s inaugural Golf Classic on the beautiful Championship Brabazon Course at The Belfry on Monday 27 April 2009. The 16 teams who took part in the Golf Classic were joined on the course by Aston Villa Manager, Martin O’Neill, former Irish Republic Football Manager, Steve Staunton and former football players, Pat Jennings and Chris Nicholl.

The day’s golf was followed by an excellent three-course dinner served in the beautiful surroundings of the Belfry Hotel overlooking the famous 10th tee of the Brabazon Course. Guests were entertained during the evening by one of Northern Ireland’s top Comedians, Gene Fitzpatrick and one of the UK’s top Tom Jones Tribute acts, Tom Canning.

The prize giving was held at the end of the evening when Pat Jennings handed over the team, nearest the pin and longest drive prizes, with 1st team prize going to Churchill Office Solutions headed up by Rob Day.

The day was enjoyed by all and our thanks to everyone who took part.
