How NCS works in Northern Ireland

NI NCS runs twice a year in summer and autumn and is delivered in 16 areas across the country over the course of the 2 seasons.

2017 summer programmes are now open for applications!

Taking place from the end of June, NCS begins with an action packed 4 night residential experience away from home with your new team, then a second 4 night residential experience to learn skills for life and work, and finally meeting up with the team to plan and deliver a project to make your mark in your area.  You can find more detail on the different phases of the programme at ncsyes.co.uk/what is ncs

We will be running 17 teams this summer and each team will have up to 15 places.

To help with your summer planning, dates and team areas are shown below.  The start dates are set but the end dates are approximate.

This is because programme lengths can vary slightly depending on what excellent social action project your team decides to do in the final phase.

We will update this page with further dates for all phases when we can.

You must complete all phases in order to graduate from the programme - in short, the 2 residentials plus social action planning and delivery.

You will then have a graduation party in late August/early September to celebrate becoming an NCS graduate!
