How NCS works in Northern Ireland

NI NCS runs twice a year in summer and autumn and is delivered in 16 areas across the country over the course of the 2 seasons.

Taking place from the end of June in summer and the Halloween break in autumn, NCS begins with an action packed residential experience away from home with your new team, then a discovery phase to learn skills for life and work, and finally meeting up with the team to plan and deliver a project to make your mark in your area.  We wrap up with a graduation and celebration event with all NI NCS grads from your season.

You can find more detail on the different phases of the programme at ncsyes.co.uk/what is ncs

We will be running 17 teams this summer, 8 in autumn and each team will have up to 15 places.

**All summer programmes are now underway, but you can now apply for autumn at ncsyes.co.uk - look for the link on the sign up page to apply for the NI programme**

The autumn programmes will begin on Friday 27th October* with a 3 night residential, followed by 3 skills days in your local area, non-residential.  The social action project planning and delivery will take place over 30 hours at evenings and weekends, flexible at times to suit the team.
