How NCS works in Northern Ireland

NI NCS runs twice a year in summer and autumn and is delivered in 16 areas across the country over the course of the 2 seasons.

Taking place from the end of June in summer and the Halloween break in autumn, NCS begins with an action packed residential experience away from home with your new team, then a discovery phase to learn skills for life and work, and finally meeting up with the team to plan and deliver a project to make your mark in your area.  We wrap up with a graduation and celebration event with all NI NCS grads from your season.

You can find more detail on the different phases of the programme at ncsyes.co.uk/what is ncs

We will be running 17 teams this summer, 8 in autumn and each team will have up to 15 places.

**Most 2017 summer programmes are now full but there are still a few places left and for those that are listed as full, you can apply to go on a reserve list.

Please contact us directly to find out if there are still summer places near you.  Email Sharon Woods, swoods@cooperationireland.org or call 90 321462**

Summer dates and team areas are shown below.  The start dates are set but the end dates are approximate.

This is because programme lengths can vary slightly depending on what excellent social action project your team decides to do in the final phase.

You must complete all phases in order to graduate from the programme.

Summer graduation will be at Crumlin Road Gaol on 21st August to celebrate becoming an NCS graduate!  In autumn, this will be held in December - venue and date tbc.
