Launches at St Patrick’s Weekend Celebrations in London
A new partnership between Co-operation Ireland and the British Irish Trading Alliance (BITA) launches over the St Patrick’s Weekend Celebrations in London with a shared Community Stall at Trafalgar Square and participation at the Big Parade.
The new partnership with BITA, a non-profit making organisation that encourages its members to build relationships to generate business through exciting networking, educational and social events, fits well with Co-operation Ireland’s own mission to sustain peace by helping to build a shared and cohesive society, working with others to develop positive relationships and co-operation.
We are looking forward to this new and exciting partnership with BITA and to working with them on a number of fundraising social events during the year. We also welcome the support of its members who are experienced business owners and professionals from a wide range of industries and sectors.
If you are in London over the St Patrick’s weekend celebrations come and visit the Co-operation Ireland and BITA Community Stall at Trafalgar Square from 12.00-18.00 on Sunday 19 March (No. 10 on the North Terrace).
If you would like to hear more about the work of both organisations, or simply drop in for a chat, we would love to see you. Trafalgar Square will be a hub of activity with music, song and dance from the main stage, a tea room and Irish food market and also the finish for the main parade which leaves from Piccadilly at 12.00 arriving at the Square around 14.30. Look out for the BITA float.
Paul Whitnell is the founder and President of BITA. He said “BITA is a not-for-profit membership organisation that focuses on promoting and growing SMEs in the UK and Ireland, and on strengthening ties between both countries. With this in mind we are looking forward to working in partnership with Co-operation Ireland in 2017. After the St Patrick’s Weekend Celebrations we are kicking this partnership off with the first social event, at an amazing ball to be held on 23 September in Manchester, which we are excited for our members to be a part of”.
The Co-operation Ireland Ball, organised with the support of BITA, will be held at the 5* Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel in Manchester City Centre. Full details available on the Co-operation Ireland website www.cooperationireland.org/fundraising/corporate/co-operation-ireland-manchester-ball/.
