Be A Sport for Co-operation Ireland in 2014 and take on an overseas challenge to help us raise funds for the important peace-building work taking place throughout the island of Ireland.
7 September - The BUPA Great North Run
Take part in one of the world's greatest running festivals and the biggest half marathon. Over 50,000 runners from all over the world will gather in Newcastle city centre to participate in the 33rd running of this event.
2 November - The TCS New York City Marathon
5-day trip to the ‘Big Apple’ to take part in one of the world’s greatest sporting events. 40,000 participants, 6,000 volunteers and over 2 million spectators makes this one of the greatest sporting shows in the world.
14-23 November - The Cuban Revolution Cycle Challenge
350km over 5 days cycling from the beautiful Cuban capital of Havana to the sparkling water of the Caribbean Sea this bike ride is a must for the cycling enthusiast. You will cycle through villages, sugar plantations and tree-lined avenues passing the charming city of Cienfuegos nicknamed ‘Pearl of the South’, situated in a bay overlooking the Caribbean Sea, and continue along coastline to the town of Trinidad with its cobblestone streets, beautifully restored houses and colonial courtyards.
