City of London Dinner

07 Feb 2019

In my role as Chairman of the Co-operation Ireland GB Executive, I write to you with information on the City of London Dinner which is organised to raise the profile of Co-operation Ireland in the City and to raise funds for the charity’s peace-building work.   As I am sure you are aware, Co-operation Ireland is the leading peace-building charity on the island of Ireland, providing cross-border and cross-community initiatives and programmes for young people who hold the key to the future and are the leaders of tomorrow.

Since it was first set up in 1979 by Dr Brendan O’Regan, Co-operation Ireland has undertaken some remarkable and inspiring activities and worked with thousands of young people.  Co-operation Ireland is primarily concerned with developing three relationships. Relationships between the communities in Northern Ireland, cross border relationships between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, and relationships between Britain and Ireland.  Currently the charity operates a range of programmes with young people throughout Ireland and in London, as maintaining relationships across the Irish Sea are also central to what we do. Everything feeds into our mission to foster peace on the island of Ireland and our vision of a peaceful and stable island where people of all backgrounds live and work together for a better future.

In 2019, Co-operation Ireland celebrates its 40th anniversary and we are delighted to have secured the prestigious venue of the Mansion House, home and office of the Lord Mayor of the City of London, for the 2019 City of London Dinner in celebration of 40 years of peace building.   The event is Black Tie and will be held on Thursday 7 February.

If you would like to attend, individual places at a cost of £200 per person or tables of 10 at £2000 are available.  A limited number of tables of 11 at £2200 are also available.  A drinks reception and 4-course dinner served with wine is included.

Co-operation Ireland would be most grateful if you would consider supporting the City of London 2019 Dinner through sponsorship of the event, purchasing a table or individual places, donating an auction prize or donating to the charity.

I very much hope you will be able to attend and I look forward to the opportunity of discussing the event with you.  Please email rogchadwick@yahoo.com or call me on +44(0) 7970 631934.

Thank you in anticipation of your support.
